How Do I Enter a Carp Fishing Competition with FishermansFortune?

Getting involved in a carp fishing competition with FishermansFortune is quick and easy. Just follow the steps below to take part in our latest prize draws and carp giveaways:

  1. Before Entering: Please familiarise yourself with our Competition Terms & Conditions and our Website Terms of use – You will be required to agree to these terms before entering any of our competitions.
  2. Go to your chosen competition: Head over to our homepage and click the “Enter Now” button. This will take you to the official entry page where you can enter for a chance to win an exciting range of prizes — from bait boats and top-quality fishing rods to cash jackpots and other premium carp fishing gear.
  3. Answer the Competition Question: Read and select your answer to the carp fishing-related question in the space provided.
  4. Select Your Entries: Choose how many entries you’d like to purchase. Remember, your answer only gets checked after you’ve entered. If your answer is incorrect, you’ll need to enter again to try another guess. The question is shown before you purchase, but you’ll only know if you’re right after checkout.
  5. Submit Entry & Make Payment: Fill in your details and pay the entry fee to secure your place in one of our UK-based carp competitions. Make sure to tick the box confirming that you agree to our terms and conditions.
  6. Get Confirmation & Await the Draw: Once your entry is processed, we’ll notify you if your answer was correct. Only correct answers are entered into the prize draw. You’ll also get an email confirming whether your entry has been accepted and if you’ve been successfully added to the draw.

You may enter the competition for free by sending your entry on an unenclosed postcard by first or second class post to the Promoter at the following address: 40 Rodney Street, Liverpool, England, L1 9AA

Please include the following information:

  1. your full name;
  2. your address;
  3. a contact telephone number and email address;
  4. the Competition you are entering and your answer to the Competition Question.
  • Incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified;
  • You may make multiple free entries for any competition (up to any limit placed on entries by the Promoter) but each free entry must be submitted and posted to the Promoter separately. Bulk entries in one envelope will not be accepted as multiple entries, and if a bulk entry is received, it will be counted as one single entry;
  • By entering the competition, you are confirming that you are eligible to enter and accept these terms and conditions;
  • Your entry must be received by the Promoter prior to the Closing Date. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be entered into the random draw;
  • The Promoter will not acknowledge receipt of your entry nor confirm if your answer to the Competition Question is correct;
  • If the number of paid entries reaches any cap or limit before your postal entry is received, you will not be entered into the random draw.
  • Entrants must have created an account on the Website for the postal entry to be processed. All details on the postcard MUST correspond to the details on the account to receive the order confirmation and ticket number. Postal entries received without a registered account cannot be processed.
  • Entrants must email us at info@fishermansfortune.co.uk once they send us their free entry in the post.

How do I claim my prize?

As per our Competition terms and conditions you must fill out our prize claim form within 14 days within Fourteen (14) days of our notification of winning unless otherwise stated in the Specific Terms. 

To claim your prize, go to My Account, then click on the Wins tab. Locate your winning ticket number and click the “Claim” button.

How to Use Wallet Credit

To use your wallet credit, simply add your chosen entries to the basket and select “Wallet payment” at checkout (just below the card payment option).

Please note: some competitions you cannot use site credit, please check the rules.

If you have entered by post and won site credit, postal entries are treated the same as paid entries and will receive site credit in the same way as paid entries.

Can I Withdraw My Site Credit?

No, site credit cannot be withdrawn as cash. It’s intended solely for use on FishermansFortune to enter competitions.

This policy is in place to prevent misuse of promotional bonuses and to keep competitions fair for all participants. Occasionally, we offer bonus credit or entry multipliers as part of special promotions—these are designed to enhance your chances in our competitions, not to be treated as cash value.

How Will I Know If I’ve Won?

If you are selected as the winner of a FishermansFortune competition, we will contact you by telephone or email within 14 days of the closing date.
 
This applies to all our competitions, including bait boat giveaways, tackle bundles, and jackpot draws. Please make sure your contact information is accurate when you enter.
 
If any of your details change before the competition ends, you must let us know. We rely on the information you provide to notify winners. If we are unable to contact you within 14 days of the closing date, we will re-draw the winner of the prize from all correct entrants of that competition.
 
If this happens, your claim to the prize will be void and the prize will be awarded to the re-drawn winner.
 
If you’ve won an instant win, you will know straight away on your order confirmation page, and you will also get a notification via email.

How Long Do Competitions Run?

The start and end dates for all FishermansFortune competitions are clearly listed on our website. This includes all giveaways such as bait boats, fishing rods, and other carp gear.

If we need to make any changes to the competition dates, the updated information will be published on our website.

Date changes will only occur if necessary and due to circumstances beyond our control. We do this to ensure fairness across all of our competitions.

FishermansFortune competitions are open to all persons aged 18 years and over who are resident in England, Wales, and Scotland, this applies to all of our competitions. We do not accept entries from those who reside outside England, Wales, and Scotland. Our competitions are operated in line with the laws of England, Wales and Scotland to ensure fairness and compliance. Anyone who is a relative of a supplier or partner involved with FishermansFortune is not eligible to enter. This restriction applies across all our competitions.

Who Owns the Prize If I Win?

If you win a FishermansFortune competition, the prize is yours to keep. This applies to all of our giveaways, including bait boats, fishing rods, and other carp fishing gear.

You will have full ownership of the prize and are free to use, keep, or sell it as you wish. This policy applies to all our UK competitions and jackpot draws.

What Are My Chances of Winning?

Example:

If a competition has a maximum of 3,000 entries, and you purchase one entry and answer correctly, your chances of winning would be no worse than 1 in 3,000.

Can I Increase My Chances?

Yes. Purchasing more entries improves your odds. Using the same example, if you buy 10 entries and answer correctly, your chances increase to no worse than 1 in 300.

Why “No Worse Than”?

We use this term because not all entries will be correct. If 500 of the 3,000 entries are incorrect, then the actual number of valid entries is reduced, and your chances improve accordingly — in this case, to 1 in 2,500 for a single correct entry.

Do You Offer Refunds?

No, we do not offer refunds on entry fees if you answer the competition question incorrectly or if you are disqualified for any reason. This policy applies to all FishermansFortune competitions, including all UK giveaways/Competitions.
